Wildbader Hof in Bad Wildbad

A while ago we went to the Wildbader Hof for lunch at lunchtime in the hope of being able to eat good home-style cooking. First of all ... in terms of prices, I expect top food. However, what was served to us was rather underground and had the character of a snack bar (I like to eat currywurst;)). Starting with the table that we had to wait 25 minutes outside with a small child. And people who came after us simply had the drinks (and no, table reservations are not possible at lunchtime) Eating (my daughter) a soup: too salty. Dumplings carelessly soaked in ready-made sauce. I had pork medallions, just raw, sauce and mushrooms without flavor. After we asked the waitress about it, she just said she had to clarify it. Hello what is there to clarify! Regardless, there was no replacement or something like that. Offer also, although the boss saw us, there was no sorry .. First and last time there. No thanks!

It was delicious and the ambience, sat outside, also great-sometimes something different ... Only we got, 3 people, the food was very different and the staff could be more warm-but was by no means unfriendly.

We were there spontaneously on a Friday evening (4 adults & 1 child) and got a place. Drinks and menu very extensive and something for everyone. Food was delicious. The waiters were also extremely nice and communicative. What we noticed extremely positively, however, is the child-friendliness. There is an extra children's menu and a small magnetic board for painting as an activity. Afterwards a couple of chocolate lentils with dinner and an egg as farewell. We can only warmly recommend this restaurant.

Food very good for that I would give 4.5 stars. The table runners were dirty from guests who were there in front of us and they should be exchanged before new guests were allowed to sit down. Bothered us very much

Nice restaurant in the middle of town. Generally good food, unfortunately the seasonal dishes were not available at the time of our visit, but a star deduction. Service also absolutely okay and friendly.

Very nice ambience, which you don't expect from the outside. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious.

We wonder where all the positive reviews come from. Our experience is that this restaurant is a tourist trap. We ordered two dishes Maultaschen and another one consisting of Wirst and Linsen, and they were terrible. The linsens tasted a bit acid like they were done 3 or 4 days ago, and they were ready to be trashed in the bin. The mauletaschen was almost with no meet and really tasted like an industrial product. We didn’t complain as we just arrived in town, between the tiredness of the trip and the lack of knowledge of the local tastes, we decided to withhold our judgment. BUT, after an evening of stomachache and after having tried the mauletaschen from the Grunehutte, we felt they deserved this review. At the grunehutte, we spent 35% less and we had much better quality. We hope other tourists will not fall in the same trap as we did. Our recommendation is to AVOID this restaurant.

Eat good. Good service. No list for entering from when to when you are present for the purpose of Corona. It's actually a duty. Or. Is a protection for everyone.

Bad Service and very slow waitress. I guess it was the manager who was quite unfriendly. The quality of the food was not good since we ordered a Schnitzel and the plate was full with the deep-frying fat and the fries were not crispy at all. First and last time we ate at this place!

We went to Bad Wildbad on August 7th. Fortunately for us, a table just became free so that we could sit down at the Enz. The food was very, very tasty and the ambience is beautiful. You can endure it there for a long time. The weather also played its part, so it couldn't have been better. Unfortunately we are not in the area often, but if we do, another visit is not excluded.

We were very satisfied. The food was delicious, you sit very nicely at the Enz. The service was also perfectly fine, among other things, we were advised that the portions can be a bit larger in order not to be overwhelmed. Normally priced, not expensive and not cheap. Simply a nice Swabian restaurant!

Cozy terrace on a river with nice tables! You could eat typical German food. The prices were really ok and the food was tasty! You can get blankets when it gets too cold.

The food is "okay". Not really appropriate for the price. The operation there is unfortunately bad underground, which makes the whole thing worse. You wait 20 minutes until somebody comes at all. There should be more in it for dishes around 20 euros.

Very good quality dishes and friendly service in the dirndl. There is a lunch menu, which is replaced by an evening menu from 5 to 5:30 p.m. and has even more choice. It is beautifully situated on a small river. There are interesting lemonades (dandelions and firshot) and a fun dice game for a dessert from 5:30 p.m. (if you win, the dessert costs half). Very cozy and recommended, especially outdoors.

Nice terrace right on the water. You can sit very well here. The operation worked very quickly. The food was good, there was nothing to complain about. The price level is relatively high, which is certainly also due to the beautiful terrace.

Nice people bring you delicious drinks. Unfortunately, I wasn't hungry, but the beers are really good. In addition, grass grows on the tables.

Good food and great service.

I had the beef steak with onions. It was really delicious. Also we ordered some salads and hot and cold (non-alcoholic) beverages. It all tasted the way it was expected to and I can recommend this restaurant. It was not crowded during a saturday evening but still better visited than some of the neighbours.

Good place to eat in Wildbad. The food was tasty and plenty. I would recommend it. My main dish was called "hopfle topfle" if I remember it correctly.

Most outstanding food we had in two weeks of Swartzwald! Lots of great options for vegetarians. We ordered the Aubergine snitzel and Spinach knödel, which were both delicious. Tea and coffee are also well sourced and of high quality. Apfelstrudel with ice cream was perfect and service was most friendly. I only would've have the traditional 'most' drink, but that's likely just how it is supposed to taste 😊

Really nice atmosphere and service. Food portions huge and delicious. We enjoyed it a lot. Price: for 4 people 70€ - price is good.

Attentive, polite and child friendly staff in traditional costume. There is a children's menu and children's toys / books. The food was good home cooked food which was delicious. One of our group had a piece of meat (3 pieces) inside relatively raw. We said it and received after 10 min in a friendly way a new piece of meat in perfect condition. The decor was rustic and authentic and we felt very comfortable despite some older toilets. What I personally thought was very great: The staff treated my 5 year old daughter with wit and charm as an equal guest. And when she left, she even got a surprise egg. (But that's probably because we were there at Easter)

Thank you! Food was delicious, extremely good looking and the prices were like everywhere in Baden-Wurttemberg so not more expensive than the normal pricing range! Location was amazing! You have to check it out yourself! We were extremely satisfied so I can easily recommend this place!

Very good food and a perfect place near the river!

Super expensive, small portions. They try to copy haute cuisine in a very touristy setup. At the end the food was quite good but the server or the kitchen forgot one of our six meals as well, which ruined what was left of this experience. So at the end we had the impression of falling for a horrible tourist trap. Restaurant is nicely located, very central downtown in a pedestrian area right at the water/river.

Zweimal Fische is an excellent choice from the Menükarte, the local beer is also tasty. The waitresses are kind and helpful. The place is with a view on the nearby the stream running through the village. This restaurant is a must try for visitors sleeping nearby.

Great food and try the drink called a "Most"

Such a hidden gem. In the heart of Bad Wildbad this restaurant is filled with a lot of heart! Everytime I visit I try something from their local menu specials- they are fabulous. I love the wood setting in this Black Forest restaurant with group setting. The service is great, friendly and helpful. If you visit the Baumwipfelpfad - stop here for lunch We had pumpkin schnitzel, brats and kraut and chicken salat
